  • Natural size
  • The most important centres of the cerebral cortex have been marked in colour on the left hemisphere
  • Cortex centres are numbered according to Broadman’s cytoarchitectural map of the human cerebral cortex:
    • Red – primary and secondary motor
    • Blue – sensory motor
    • Specially indicated – cortical fields, different speech centres, auditory cortical fields and visual cortical fields, as well as the structures of the limbic system
  • The three dimensional structure of the brain and the inter-relationship of the different cerebral areas become evident whilst taking the model apart
  • Separates into 15 parts:
    • Cerebral hemisphere (two)
    • Temporal and occipital lobes with limbic system
    • Cerebellum
    • Frontal lobe
    • Corpus callosum
    • Brain stem (two)
    • Corpus striatum
    • Insula (two)
