- Helps resolve the uncertainties common in teaching students to take blood pressure
- Features include:
- Pressures activated at release valve by student
- Pressures read directly from sphygmomanometer
- Real blood pressure sounds reproduced from recordings
- Volume control
- Presetting of values for both diastolic and systolic pressures
- Provides an excellent means to practise listening to, and distinguishing, blood pressure sounds. It is possible to audibly discern the five Korotkoff phases
- Students can find the preset results and the instructor can unfailingly know if the student has performed the procedure accurately
- Any combination of systolic and diastolic pressures may be dialled into the control unit, and the instructor can control the pulse rate and volume level. An auscultatory gap may be added if desired
- The electronic control unit also features a manual calibration button that allows the unit to be used with any type of sphygmomanometer other than the one provided
- Supplied in carrying case with sphygmomanometer, electronic control unit, four ‘AA’ batteries and teaching guide
- The simulator does not include a stethoscope
