- When accessing, skin rolls as you palpate vein and a ‘pop’ is felt as needle enters vein
- Proper placement is confirmed by drawing back on syringe. If resistance is experienced, tip has either not been advanced far enough or advanced too far
- Has two different sized veins positioned at the same depth
- Enables the user to improve competency and techniques by progressing from easier, larger veins to the more difficult, smaller veins
